Welcome to ROCIs Tasks. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ROCIs Tasks mobile application, web application, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not access or use the Service.

1. Description of Service

ROCIs Tasks is a workload management and task-tracking utility designed for students and researchers. Features include:

  • Task creation, priority leveling, subtask checklists, and file attachments.
  • On-device calendar sync and Google Calendar integration.
  • Interactive Android home screen widgets.
  • Offline caching via Hive and remote cloud synchronization via Google Firebase Firestore.

2. User Accounts & Security

You may register for an account using Google Sign-In or your email address. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and any activity occurring under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

3. Subscription Plans & Billing

ROCIs Tasks offers a Free Tier and a Premium PRO subscription. Subscriptions are processed via RevenueCat and corresponding app store merchants (Google Play Store, Apple App Store).

  • Free Tier Limits: Limited to 5 categories, 1 home screen widget, and excludes recurring tasks, checklist structures, or file attachments.
  • PRO Entitlements: Unlocks unlimited categories, checklist items, recurring schedules, file attachments, and widgets.
  • Birthday Promo Waiver: All premium PRO features are unlocked automatically for all users without charge during our annual promotional period from June 16 to July 16. Regular subscription rates apply outside this window.

4. User Conduct & Content

You retain ownership of any data, text, or file attachments you upload to the Service ("User Content"). You grant us a limited license to store, cache, and transmit this content solely to provide the Service to you. You agree not to upload content that is illegal, abusive, infringing, or harmful to servers.

5. Intellectual Property

Except for User Content, the Service—including the logo, graphics, design system, source code, and assets—is the exclusive property of ROCIs Apps. Unauthorized replication of our brand identity or software is prohibited.

6. Disclaimers & Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ACCURATE, OR THAT TASK SYNCING WILL FUNCTION IN ALL CELLULAR OR WIFI COVERAGE SCENARIOS.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROCIS APPS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, PRODUCTIVITY LAG, OR ACADEMIC MISSED DEADLINES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with local laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
